A bit about me, Emma J Smith. I live in my thatched roof cottage in West Berkshire with my husband, 3 sons, 2 dogs & too many to count wild squirrels !
When I’m not behind my camera, I can found chiselling gypsum plaster off of the cottage walls or daydreaming about rooms with straight corners 🙂
I’ve loved being creative for as long as I can remember. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to study Art, Design, Graphic Design & Photography at Ravensbourne.
My very first serious camera was a Zenith SLR & from the moment I captured someone’s expression & learnt how to create bokeh I was hooked!
I have been privileged to shoot alongside some great photographers from Industry including Gabe McClintok & Giacomo Cannata.
I have a private studio at home where I undertake projects when I’m not at a wedding or out on location.
I’m a hopeless romantic with an empathetic soul. I’m told that my gentle style of direction results in even the most reluctant person opening up in front of my lens, enough to enjoy the experience & even like their images !
