Festival wedding at Little Park Farm
From Tinder Match to Mountain Proposal.
This love story began with a simple swipe on Tinder in November 2018. Little did Becca & James know, that a casual connection would blossom into something extraordinary. Their first date, over a curry, was so engaging that the restaurant had to politely nudgethem out so that they could close for the night. It felt as though they’d known each other for years, not just hours.
Fast forward to June 2022, they were in Snowdonia celebrating Becca’s birthday. On the 14th of June, atop Mount Snowdon, James got down on one knee & proposed with Becca’s grandmother’s ring.
A Festival Wedding journey to Little Park farm.
Initially, they’d planned to wait a bit before tying the knot, with Becca wrapping up her master’s degree and gearing up for her PhD. However, wedding excitement couldn’t be contained, and within days, they were scouring venues back in Berkshire.
Choosing the Perfect Venue
After exploring a few upscale venues, Becca & James stumbled upon Little Park Farm, a hidden gem discovered through Google. Its laid-back vibe and freedom from strict rules and costly add-ons instantly appealed. Despite a chilly, rainy day visit, they fell head over heels for its peaceful ambiance. After looking into Tipi Hire they promptly booked it, knowing it was the ideal place for their dream day.
Outfits & Accessories: A Reflection of Us
James had always teased about green suits, and when he stumbled upon the perfect one at Black Tie in Crowthorne, it felt like fate. Becca’s dress hunt was a bit more adventurous, but when she laid eyes on “the one,” it was unmistakable. Its uniqueness perfectly complemented the venue and the atmosphere Becca & James envisioned. Green shoes and a fragrant flower crown added the finishing touches, embodying their personalities and style.
Floral Fantasies
A wedding theme of green and purple guided the floral choices. Lavender’s soothing scent and delicate appearance perfectly matched the festival & natural styling vibes. Alliums were chosen instead of more formal roses, incorporating Becca’s favorite flower, into the decor, adding a personal touch.
The Ceremony: A Pagan Celebration of Love
Under the orchard of trees at Little Park Farm, a Pagan handfasting ceremony, officiated by Mandy Kay of Bee Loved Ceremonies celebrating the 4 elements was our chosen way to exchange our vows. This ceremony intertwined with elements of nature, reflected James & Becca’s journey and commitment. Amidst the joyful chaos of barking dogs & chatty chickens, the ceremony ended with them jumping the besom broom into a new life as husband and wife.
Memorable Moments
Our first dance to “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues was a highlight, surprising our guests with a Christmas song in July. Cutting the cake with a Lord of the Rings sword and the photoshoot in the wheat field were equally cherished moments that added to our day.
