Andy & Alex’s Mexican themed humanist ceremony at Ufton Court
Spring had definitely sprung !
Andy & Alex’s Mexican themed humanist ceremony at Ufton Court was a celebration of their marriage a few days before. Spring had definitely sprung & the sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky for their outdoor ceremony in front of the tithe barn at Ufton Court.
Alex got ready with her bridesmaids; Kim, Libby & Corra & flower girl Miren. Miren is the youngest daughter of Alex & Andy & during the pre wedding conversations I had with them about their wedding plans Alex often said it would be all about Miren !
Indeed I did capture so many brilliant “Miren moments” during their day we could have created an entire album just about her.
The oak panelled prep room upstairs in the tudor manor house at Ufton Court is always lit amazingly by natural light pouring in through the leaded windows. It’s so dark & dramatic & I personally love it for prep photography.
Their personal humanist ceremony..
Mexican themed colours of emerald green, gold, orange & bright purple in the floristry, cake & table decs looked amazing! Alex also wore an emerald green & gold gemstone wire in her hair, setting off her amazing green eyes perfectly.
Libby & Kim wore lace accented emerald green bridesmaid dresses & Miren’s dress was a bit special of course with an emerald green tulle skirt & gold top. Andy & Alex’s eldest daughter Corra made her own bridesmaid statement by wearing a tailored emerald green suit, it suited her perfectly 🙂
Andy, Matty, his best friend of 20 years & best man & their eldest child Cavan all wore grey tweed suits. With the mexican theme featuring in their emerald green ties & brightly coloured button holes.
Andy & Alex’s personal outdoor humanist ceremony included a hand fasting ceremony & jumping the broom. Cavan & Corran helped to wrap the ribbons around Andy & Alex’s hands & Miren blew bubbles for them as they jumped ! A bit of a technical challenge there, photographing a confetti throw, bubbles & a jumping couple simultaneously !

Grow old with you…
After a truly personal & fun wedding day, we were spoilt with some gorgeous golden light just before the sunset. So one more teeny lil portrait session was agreed & we headed out into the quiet grounds together.
Andy & Alex’s 1st dance soundtrack was “Grow old with you” by Adam Sandler. The added personal touch was that it was performed by best Man Matty & his girlfriend !
Andy & Alex’s amazing Ufton Court wedding continued into an unforgettable after party led by the band & Andy’s amazing dance floor moves….
The Ufton Adventure charitable work, funded by the wedding business at Ufton Court is treasured by the local community & beyond. Ufton Court is literally on my doorstep, I walk my dogs in the surrounding woods of the estate most days, & never tire of how peaceful & beautiful it is.
So photographing an Ufton Court wedding always feels pretty special to me. You can find out more about this amazing venue that I’m so lucky to have on my doorstep here; Ufton Court Weddings

Alex’s wedding tip “You don’t have to do everything according to tradition, do you? Make it personal, you won’t regret it! “
Alex & Andy’s choice of bright colours & mexican theme was inspired by a memorable holiday to Mexico that they’d shared & Alex’s favourite colour is green !
What was your favourite part of your day & why ?
Being surrounded by everyone we love, being so taken up in the moment and still having the perfect reminder to look through and jog memories we’d thought we’d forgotten!
